The Trophy Bar is In the Way!

Hi all!

We've still been hearing some issues with the Trophy bar being in the way. The reason this happens is when the browser has changed sizes, the game doesn't line up properly as it's set up to work with a browser at 100%. In order to get it to work properly, you'll need to reset your browser to 100%. The instructions following will show you how!

The Problem

Does your Diner look like this?

I can't click the "play" button!

If so, first thing you'll need to do is see if you're using firefox, Chrome, or IE if you're on a PC, or Safari, Firefox or Chrome if you're on a Mac.

The best way to figure this out, is to look at the icon. Usually, they're shaped like one of these four:

This is Internet Explorer

This is Firefox

This is Google Chrome

This is Safari.

For Internet Explorer

Fortunately, the instructions for Internet Explorer are fairly easy. You'll need to open your browser, and then select 'View', and from there. Then, scroll down to Zoom, and select 100% from the menu. It should look like this:

After you do this you'll need to reload your game again. Don't refresh your browser, just click the 'reload' button.

If your game still looks unusual, try resizing the font as well. You can do that through the same 'View' Menu, except this time select 'Text Size' It should be 'Medium'.

You'll need to re-load the game again.

And that should work for you!

Firefox

With Firefox, you can also use the 'View' menu to adjust the size of your screen, except after you scroll to 'Zoom' you'll need to use the 'Reset' option.

Then reload your game, again, not the whole browser, just the page you're on.

Chrome and Safari

As of this moment we haven't received very many inquiries in to how to reset the size on these browsers. If we do, we'll write a tutorial on how to correct them as well!

The New Improved Flo’s Daily!

So, if you're an avid player of Flo's Daily then you've probably noticed that it has changed.

As you can see, there's been some changes!

Now, when you come back and play each day, you'll receive a multiplier. This means you can get even BIGGER scores every day. If you play each day of the week, and come in on Friday, the score can be HUGE!

Why can’t I see the whole game?

Hi there all!

We've been seeing some issues with some of our Diner Dash on Facebook players mentioning that they've got a couple of problems both seeing the dish bin, or that the Trophy bar is in the way of starting their game.

The issue is actually with the size of the browser around the game. The game is made for a specific size frame within Facebook, and it shifts things around when the size of the browser is adjusted.

To correct this issue on most browsers you can hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard, and tap the 0 key at the top of your keyboard. This will reset the size of your browser back to 100%, now, just re-load the game! You should be able to see everything in your Diner Dash game!

To change your font size back to a comfortable size for you, simply hold down that CTRL key, and tap the + or - key at the top of the keyboard again!

You've asked, and we're answering!

How to Unlock Tonys

In order to prove to Tony that you'll be invested in his restaurant, you'll need to Master Darla's restaurant. That means, get five full stars at Darlas.

First, Master Darla's Restaurant

You'll need to get all five stars to make Tony's available!

Once you master Darlas, you'll be presented with the following window:

From here, you'll need to click on either "Share Bonus" or "Skip"

And then the game will let you know that Tony's has been unlocked for your Playing enjoyment!

Now, you'll be able to go to Tony's Restaurant, and simply click the yellow button on the far left, that asks you to use your five star rating to unlock the restaurant

After you click the button, you'll find that Tony's is unlocked for you!

You can now enjoy your newest restaurant!

How to upgrade your Restaurant!

For those of you who play the PC game Diner Dash you know that one of the main attractions of the game is updating your restaurants to make them more appealing both to you, and your customers. The happier the customers are, the more patient they are with you (And the bigger your bonuses can be!)

Basically, it works like this

What you're actually earning when you earn star points! Now you know exactly how many more you have to go!

You can see the ways the different types of currency allow you to work within the game!

First things first. You've got an updated intro screen that shows you a few new things, including your new star parts(Currently at 0 of 13), your star rating (You can see we have 2 of 5), and a new big green button that reads 'Upgrade Venue'.

If you click on the large green button, you'll be taken to a new screen.

Materials

Each type of upgrade (Sidewalk, Walls, Counter, etc...) require different materials. There's a couple of different ways to get the materials for your upgrading projects!

Your Friends

The best way to get materials is to ask your friends! By asking your friends, it will post to your wall that you're looking for various items. Simply click the pink 'Ask Friends' button and it will ask to post to your wall. Agree, and your friends can help you out with the gathering. The other great thing, if you help out, you'll get something back, so it's a great idea to help others out!

Facebook Credit

The other way to get the needed materials is to simply pay for them using Facebook credits.

You can also purchase all the materials at once, by clicking the green bar at the bottom of the page that reads 'Buy Upgrades For:" This will buy all the materials you need at once with Facebook Credits.

Upgrading

There are a few restrictions on how you can upgrade your restaurant. You can't upload a restaurant to a level 3, from a level 1. You have to upgrade to level 2 before you can upgrade to level 3.

You also can't upgrade past your current star level. If you're a level two, upgrading with the help of your friends will be just a bit beyond your reach. Of course, you can upgrade all the way to level five with facebook credits if you like!

Of course, there's a lot of lovely decorations, and a lot of wonderful bonuses to be had!
